This is a truly beautiful location. I fell in love with this small finca placed in the mountains with its stunning views overlooking the hills and valleys of the Grazalema National Park.

This tranquil place is perfect for relaxing or you can visit the surrounding white mountain villages of the region, walk, paint, bird watch or horse ride. Your closest neighbours will be sheep and goats!

There are books in the cottage with information about local walks and activities. There is a CD player (you may like to bring your own CDs), no television or phone. However, there is good mobile reception.

Vina Cristina is simple and comfortable and has just undergone an attractive re-furbishment. An outdoor barbeque is situated under the olive trees and there are many peaceful spots in the garden where you can relax. Lake Zahara is 20 mins drive away where you can enjoy a picnic and swim in the lake.

Unfortunately my cottage is not suitable for babies, young children or people who would have any difficulty negotiating steep rocky steps. We are in the mountains and there are many rocks & drops from them!

One bedroom with twin beds, wood burning stove & cupboard.

The Living Room is large with open fireplace, comfortable sofa and chairs. There is a good size dining table with 6 upright chairs for eating inside if you wish.

The Garden: Underneath the vine is a large table for al fresco dining. Underneath the olive tree is a built-in barbeque area.

Kitchen: Newly fitted kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer and washing machine. It is part tiled with local tiles and includes a local granite worktop.

Bathroom: WC, Shower & separate bath. Heated towel rail.

Note: Perhaps it is worth mentioning here that water is supplied from a large water deposit. This is filled regularly by a local supplier. Water is a precious commodity in Spain and it would be really appreciated if you were careful with its use.

Bedding and towels are provided. I can arrange to have these changed once a week if you require.

Places to see

Grazelema is only 10 minutes by car or 40 minutes walking. It has several small supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants.

A car will be necessary as we are so well placed to visit cities such as, Seville, Jerez, Grenada, the Coast and the Mountains. It is best not to hire the smallest car in the range, Spanish roads can be quite challenging.
